I truly believe people are put in your life for a purpose and a reason. And this group of individuals exemplify family and music all wrapped in one. I would like to display a group of individuals that I met starting in 2016. I met these three individuals at a time in my life when I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do in music. I was stuck in a place where I was fighting to keep my passion for music strong. I wanted people to understand my music and where I was coming from. This group became, and still is, a huge part of my life, and has guided me along my most recent music career.
Shady Bootz was created around 2019 (before the pandemic). It was unanimously decided to name the group Shady Bootz due to our constant joking and having fun. As a group, we just wanted to share our talents, so we began to create events, such as open mics, showcases and concerts around the Richmond, VA area. We were even featured on several podcasts and radio stations.
The group features music and poetry artists: Taesean Blanding (singer), Friday Love (singer), Demi Power (poet) and Ms. Tasha Nicole (singer). We consistently encourage and motivate each other in music, as well as in our personal lives.
So, without further ado, let’s introduce the artists:
Taesean Blanding
Taesean Blanding is an inspirational soulful singer/songwriter from Hopewell Va. He has been performing professionally for over 11 years. Taesean has released four mix tapes, two EPs, and one full album titled “Love” with a deluxe album on the way. He has performed at countless events throughout the state of Virginia and the East Coast.
Taesean is also an award-winning actor/playwright, and Best R&B vocalist at the RVA award show! He has been in numerous theatre productions and has received multiple awards for his theatre roles. He earned a supporting role in the Indie Film,"Nujay's Once Upon a Christmas; where he won the Fan Favorite Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Quinton in the film. Taesean has been in multiple Web series.
Taesean has a wonderfully distinct singing voice; his tone is soothing yet powerful. His acting and comedic timing are impeccable. Taesean’s platform is one of hope and inspiration. His passion goes beyond performing; he has a message and he wants it to reach people of all walks of life. His artistic style goes farther than One Genre, One Melody & One Beat.

Friday Love
The Latin sensation Friday Love (Roosev A. LanFranco), with roots hailing from the Dominican Republic to New York, brings fire and sassiness to the stage. Inspired by her mother Ana Lanfranco, who has a strong life for art, and father, Juan Lanfranco, who is a singer, songwriter, musician, and composer Friday Love was born into music and has carried on the legacy of sharing her music with the world. At a young age, she learned various instruments, notably the xylophone, and flute, which landed her the opportunity to lead the band. While in grammar school up to her last year in high school, she was chosen to attend performing arts courses in college, and Friday's love for music led her to the stage. Influences from genres such as R&B, Soul, Reggae, Hip Hop, Latina, international, and Neo-Soul.

Ms. Tasha Nicole is an eclectic international singer who has been singing since the age of four. Obtaining music degrees in Vocal Performance at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Music, as well as Johns Hopkins University Peabody Institute, has always excelled in bringing her music career to life. Ms. Tasha Nicole has performe in many opera companies in the state of Virginia and Maryland, as well as creating original songs of her own. Currently having seven songs in distribution, she continues to find her voice and place in the music industry. Ms. Tasha Nicole also is a trained accountant and has her Bachelor's and Master’s in Accounting from Kaplan University, as well as Purdue Global. Ms. Tasha Nicole is an all-around girl who enjoys life and what it has to offer.
